Performing the music of Led Zeppelin

Singer Vince Contarino, a founding member of the Zep Boys since their formation in 1986, has been a guiding force for the band over their remarkable 37-year journey. Leading the group through hundreds of tours, thousands of gigs, and numerous line-up changes, Vince’s commitment has been unwavering.

Originating in Adelaide, the Zep Boys initially intended to play a few “one-off shows” purely for the joy of celebrating Led Zeppelin’s music. What began as a casual endeavour in 1986 evolved into nearly two decades of touring, showcasing their passion for the iconic band. After almost 20 years since those inaugural performances, Vince Contarino reflects on the band’s incredible journey.

Known for their successful collaboration with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in July 2005 with “Zeppelin Flies Again,” marked a remarkable achievement in their career. The synergy between the Zep Boys and the orchestra resulted in an astonishing success.

Subsequently, the band extended their collaborative efforts with orchestras, gracing renowned venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Hammersmith Odeon in London, and various locations across the UK and Europe. For the past 15 years, the Zep Boys have prioritized working with orchestras, creating memorable performances.

Now, however, the band is eager to return to their roots and revisit the pubs where they initially flourished. Vince Contarino expresses the band’s sentiment, stating, “We’ve toured with orchestras playing to sold-out houses globally, but it’s the ‘true believers’ who are responsible for our success in band mode, over hundreds of gigs and lineup changes, we are thrilled to return to The Gov, where we’ve experienced some of the most legendary Zep Boy gigs. We are incredibly excited for this homecoming!”
