This weeks talented feature artist,The Shambolics are an Adelaide band formed over a couple of pints of the black stuff way back in the mists of time. The band play what can be loosely termed Folk Punk with banjo, fiddle, whistle and a rollickin’ backline. You’ll hear a combination of jigs n’ reels, shanties, original tunes and some auld classics by the Stones, Angels, Proclaimers done Shambo style! They released their first EP in 2014, six original songs called Pogue Mahone. After touring, radio appearances and playing festivals in 2016 they completed their first full length album called Riot on Race Day. Ten original songs from Celtic to Country and even a bit of Spaghetti Western, Riot was recorded and produced locally at Locrian Studios in Lenswood South Australia. The band have toured extensively, they’ve headlined at Adelaide Oval on St Pat’s day and are regulars around the Adelaide pub scene. Put on yer dancing clogs and catch the Shambos…or they’ll come and get yeh!!
