The Furball Express - Friday Night Live & Local

This weeks talented feature artist is The Furball Express, an Adelaide band that plays more eclectic funky groove-driven ‘blues’ music from across the decades. The Furball Express put their own stamp on some of the great blues styles – from Bessie Smith and the gospel feel of Reverend Gary Davis in the 1920s through to Mavis Staples; the steamy swampy blues of Tony Joe White and Eric Burdon, the great story telling groove blues of Howlin’ Wolf, R.L. Burnside and Tom Waits; and to contemporaries like Larkin Poe, and a whole lot more.
