Be inspired by the powerful guitar tones and musicianship of The Dead Mentors. Let them take you to the space age with their unique brand of alternative shoe gazing rock.
With decades of guitar playing echoing the origins of real rock guitar tones, their lyrics and melodies draw inspiration from rock masters and icons like The Stone Roses, The Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, The Breeders, PinkFloyd, The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, David Bowie, and many more.
Formed by Ollie Scholey and Ben Mooney, their musical collaboration began in 2020, leading to the formation of The Dead Mentors in early 2023. They stay true to the genre while adding grit and attitude to their sound. The band’s collaborative process results in soaring guitar work by Ben, layered with reverbs and effects, and anchored by a solid rhythm section from Ollie, Mark, and Dan.
