Join us for an action-packed night of local, original music featuring artists Day For Caroline, The Genevieves, and Birds Are Spies.
Day for Caroline are a four piece folk rock band who have been performing around Adelaide for a year. In the Gov Front bar, they'll be stripping back to acoustic instruments and very tame drums to experiment with some sounds that are new to the group.Alt-folk composer and multi-instrumentalist, Neenaw interweaves ethereal melodies and piano-centricity with sprinklings of classical music and contemporary jazz. Her whimsical compositions endeavour to invite the audience into an escapist realm of eccentricity.
The Genevieves are a noisy 4 piece post punk/shoegaze band from Kaurna Land/Adelaide, with a sound that evenly blends the bands that inspire them. Their music is the direct product of the four’s equal and genuine collaboration, expressed through a dynamic live set. The band takes influence from Sonic Youth, MBV, The Stooges, Osees, as well as many modern and local contemporaries.
Formed in 2019, The Birds are Spies are an alternative rock trio from Adelaide, Australia. Comprising of Gracie Northam on vocals, Jack Larsen playing strings and Lachie Durrans on drums, they have spent the ensuing two years performing and ultimatley gearing up towards their debut EP entitled Big Nothing, which came out on July 29th, 2021 followed by the single Loose Change in 2022.
