Get ready, Adelaide, because The Red Skull is bringing their acclaimed best of the Big Day Out show back to The Gov in January!

‍Ah, the Big Day Out. What a time to be alive! Drinking and dancing with your friends, getting way too much sun and checking out the hottest bands on the planet.

When you talk about Aussie music festivals, the Big Day Out was the grand-daddy of them all. From its modest origins in Sydney in 1992 through to Pearl Jam’s last chords ringing out across Joondalup in 2014, the BDO was a rite of passage for Aussie music lovers for over 20 years. Now, in 2025, The Red Skull is stoked to bring their best of the Big Day Out show back to their favourite venue at the traditional BDO time of year.

We know you all want to hear the absolute bangers, so we’ve gone back to the well and pulled out the biggest tunes from the biggest bands ever to grace a BDO stage. From Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica and Foo Fighters right through to all the Aussie bands you know and love, this is our biggest Big Night Out yet.

Oh, and this time, we’re putting The Boiler Room Experience right where it belongs: after the live show, so you can dance the night away in The Venue. It’s gonna be epic!
