The Gov - Full Gig

Be Brave

plus special guests My Cherie

Be Brave had a significant following in Adelaide from 1989 to 95, were played on high rotation on JJJ for three of their singles (Attacks of Madness, Bring the Rifle and Churn) far before any other local SA act.

They were at the heart of the vibrant early 90s Rundle/Hindley Street scene playing regularly at the Austral, Exeter, Boltz, Club Foote, Limbo etc and also performed three times with JJJ’s ‘Live at the Wireless’ (one at the Lion Theatre bar to over 500 local punters, one at the Adelaide ABC and one in JJJ studio Melbourne).

Following the huge success of its 30 year reunion gig in 2021, Be Brave is back bigger and better in 2022.

Featuring three of the four original members (Chris Brandwood, Dave Rostron and Josh Roach) along with drummer Damien Murphy, Be Brave will play their most popular released and unreleased songs, including about 4 classics subbed in since the reunion gig. If the last Be Brave show is anything to go by, then this will be a night to remember.

Be Brave will be supported by My Chérie - a multi-instrumentalist and solo artist, with influences like Tash Sultana and Matt Corby. Voted Best Live Act in SA in the 2020 National Live Music Awards, her shows feature pop tinged songs, with guitar, live looping, synth and hip-hop grooves underlining her angelic vocals.

Come along and enjoy a night of 90’s guitar band reminiscence, combined with a ‘next gen’ original act, all at Adelaide’s best live music venue.

The reunion show sold out and crown numbers may be limited, so get in early!
