Young Modern, Dust Collection and Safari Set
Mr V Music presents
YOUNG MODERN (1977 – 80) was one of the great post punk pop bands in Australia. The band’s 60s influenced power pop found instant favour in Adelaide and Melbourne, whilst reformations to record “How Insensitive” (2006) and “Live @ The Grace Emily” have kept the legend alive and growing.
For a brief period around 1980, SAFARI SET were the great Adelaide power pop band. The band broke up without releasing any records but left their mark in the hearts and minds of Adelaide’s most discerning music fans.
DUST COLLECTION was strictly a 60s cover band formed for parties and good times. Somehow they ended up releasing a bunch of original songs for Greasy Pop, Triple J and Walking Bird. But their hearts still lie in the tunes of Masters Apprentices, Pretty Things and Wimple Winch.
Three of Adelaide’s finest pop bands together in a rare triple bill – one show only.
