HELPLESS

Poke in the Eye presents

HELPLESS will be returning to The Gov on Thursday March 23 with their much-loved homage to the timeless music and songs of Neil Young.

The band pay homage some of Neil Young’s most celebrated songs in a five-piece band format. Expect arrangements that hold true to the original works, featuring four part harmonies, banjos, lap slide, harmonicas and wailing guitars. They avoid mimicry in favour of respect, and genuine love, for Neil Young’s timeless music.

Bitterly disappointed when Young had to withdraw from his Australian performances for 2017, the band resolved to bring their full band live show back to the Gov to have a celebration of his works nevertheless.

Local singer-songwriters Todd Sibbin, Ryan Martin John & Tom West will be joined by Adelaide expat Ryan Oliver on keys (Oliver’s Army) & local legend David Mazzarelli on drums (Cosmo Thundercat).

The band will be performing an extended set at The Governor Hindmarsh Hotel on Thursday March 23.
