Coby Grant is a singer of songs, a teller of tales, a believer of love, and an embracer of life. The acoustic/folk style singer songwriter based in Melbourne is working hard and putting herself on the map as an up and coming independent Australian artist.
After recently returning from a writing and recording stint in the US, where she worked with producers / writers / musicians such as Peter Malick (Norah Jones), Anthony J Resta (Collective Soul, Elton John, Duran Duran, Shawn Mullins), Ted Greenberg (The Funk Brothers, Chaka Khan) and Thomas Baraka DiCandia (Live, Sting, Weezer, Coolio), Coby has jumped straight back into touring the country promoting her new songs.
Coby has played at some of the country’s most prestigious venues- Manchester Lane and The Esplanade Hotel in Melbourne, The Basement in Sydney, Settlers Tavern in WA and many more. Her live performance is a pleasure, an adventure. Her quiet but cheeky manner and the delivery of her well crafted pop songs about things, people and love, account for the instantaneous connection that audiences feel to Coby.
Joined onstage by fellow vocalists Rach and Sal, the three girls create with amazing ease, magical harmonies that have been taking people’s breath away. Coby’s fan base continues to grow as she relentlessly pursues her quest to reach people with her songs, her heart and her infectious grin. |
